Celebrate Saint Paul Public Library's
Proud Heritage and Bright Future
2007 marks Saint Paul Public Library's 125th year of service to the community!
When the St. Paul Public Library was established in 1882, it opened for business on the second floor of the Ingersoll Block building with 8,051 books, sharing space with doctors’ and dentists’ offices.
You can now choose from a collection of over one million items available at the Central Library, 12 branches and a bookmobile, and online.
Celebrate all year long with parties at every branch, a chance to share your memories of the library, and other special events.
