Ramsey County Library patrons often make a beeline for the branches' catalog-search terminals and public-access PCs, as they have for years.
But now, increasingly, they'll reach out to tap or swipe the displays in a mistaken assumption that the old-style terminals are touchscreens, like an iPad.
This is an example of how metro-area public libraries haven't always kept up as digital access to information has changed.
