The Saint Paul Public Library announced five winners, selected from hundreds of submissions, of its library card art contest. Local artists Matthew Rucker, Sophie Swank, Ray Staffa, Caitlyn Wakem, and Madeline Estes will see their art featured on new library cards in 2015. See the winning artwork online. Teens and young adults with developmental delays can take part in a special summer reading program series happening at the George Latimer Central Library, 90 West 4th Street, in downtown Saint Paul. Youth 12 years and up can earn badges and books by reading about and trying activities focused on their interests on four Friday mornings beginning June 27 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Participants are welcome to bring their personal care attendants, parents, or 1:1 aids to these free events, but registration is required.
