Learn about eReaders and eBooks at Saint Paul Public Library Free eReader Drop-in Sessions

Saint Paul, Minn. - Four Saint Paul Public Library locations will offer training sessions on eBooks and eReaders in August.

Customers are invited to bring in their eReader device to the free, one hour drop-in training sessions, where they will learn how to download Library eBooks. No registration is necessary.

Clinics times, dates and locations:

  • 1 - 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 1, Central Library, 90 West Fourth St., 651-266-7000

  • 6 - 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17, Arlington Hills Library, 1105 Greenbrier St., 651-793-3930
  • 1 - 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 22, Highland Park Library, 1974 Ford Parkway, 651-695-3700

Saint Paul Public Library began offering eBooks from Overdrive in April 2011. Library users can check out an eBook with a valid library card, download it to a PC or Mac computer, and transfer to a variety of eReaders including the Barnes & Noble NOOK, Sony Reader, and many others.

eBooks also can be downloaded on mobile devices such as Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, and Windows Mobile devices, as well as electronic tablets including the iPad. Links to free apps and software are available on the Library's website. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees.
