The annual Teen Read Down happens every October. During October, teens reading in the library will earn one dollar off in fines and fees for every 15 minutes spent reading.
The library’s goals with the Read Down are to reinforce the importance and (quite literally) the value of reading, and to remove obstacles to teens to using the library for both academic and personal development.
Teens can participate in the Read Down at any of the 13 Saint Paul Public Libraries and the Bookmobile. They just need to check in with a staff member before finding a comfy spot to read.
