Saint Paul Public Library Announces Library Card Art Contest

Date: Jul 25th, 2014

Saint Paul Public Library is seeking art to use on newly-designed library cards that will be available starting this November. Everyone-kids, teens, and adults-who lives, works, or attends school in Saint Paul is welcome to enter the contest. All forms of two-dimensional art will be accepted until the contest ends on September 5.

Five winners will be chosen. Their artwork will appear on the new library cards, and they will have their choice of a $100 gift card from either Micawber's Books or Cossetta's Italian Market and Pizzeria.

The winning artwork and honorable mentions will be announced on September 19, and artwork will be displayed at the George Latimer Central Library, 90 West Fourth Street, in downtown Saint Paul, during the Saint Paul Art Crawl, October 10 - 12.

For more information, or to enter the contest, artists can download an application from sppl.org/artcontest or pick one up at any Saint Paul Public Library location. Artwork can also be submitted at any library location or scanned and emailed to sppl.cds@gmail.com by Friday, September 5, 2014.
