Saint Paul Public Library Hosting Maker Fair

Date: Jun 3rd, 2013

The Saint Paul Public Library invites the public to meet local makers in a showcase of Minnesota creativity! Artists, crafters, technologists, and tinkerers will be sharing their creations at this all-ages gathering at Sun Ray Library on June 15.

Weather permitting, the fair will be outside. Expect hands-on activities, exciting demonstrations, and fun. There will be a bouncy castle, climbing wall, and food trucks onsite.

Saturday, June 15, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., Sun Ray Library

Library staff hope that the fair will inspire ideas and connections that inform future library offerings.

Below is a partial list of participants:

Beatrix*JAR - Join this experimental sound art duo in hands-on audio play with their one-of-a-kind musical instruments!
Elpis Enterprises - Build your own bird feeder with kits, jigs, and tools.

Minneapolis Community & Technical College Zine Collection - Learn how to make a simple one-page zine with Minneapolis Community & Technical College librarians. Make a zine to take home, share with friends, and even donate back to our library to keep Minnesota's largest zine collection growing!
The Choosatron - The Choosatron is an interactive fiction storytelling machine. As a visitor, you will get to play an assortment of choose-your-own-adventure style stories, and your unique journey is captured on a paper scroll you get to keep!
Unvending Bookbindery - The Unvending Bookbindery is giving demonstrations of several different bookbinding techniques throughout the day. Follow along and make a book of your own!
