To better address the needs of minority groups on the East Side, the Sun Ray St. Paul Public Library has started offering world language storytimes.
"We really want to make efforts to serve those communities and prepare kids for school," said Margo Bock, director of the world language storytimes at Sun Ray.
"We found that 44 percent of the St. Paul residents are minorities and a significant number of them are Hmong, Spanish and Somali, so we started those languages."
