Community Technology Empowerment Project (CTEP)

The AmeriCorps CTEP is a new, innovative initiative that will bridge the "digital divide" in Minneapolis and St. Paul urban neighborhoods, targeting the unique technology access needs of new immigrants and low-income residents.

CTEP workers:

Help community members access their technology capacities.
Offer computer workshops at a St. Paul Public Library Homework Center for community members.
work at Saint Paul Public Library Homework Centers, attend training sessions, and work on group projects

CTEP is looking for people who are self-starters, innovators and interested in diverse communities. Workers must be at least 18 years old, and able to commit to a one year contract.

Bilingual applicants who can speak Hmong, Somali, or Spanish are strongly encouraged to apply.
