An opportunity for children to read with dog and human teams trained to share books with children in a relaxed, fun environment. For kids ages 6-12.

Rice Street Library is home to Stargazer Snoopy!

Teens in Action Club

Play games, compete in challenges, plan and do projects that help the community, meet special guest speakers, and learn about different cultures. Stop in, have fun, or learn something new!

North End Book Club

All are welcome to attend the North End Book Club which meets on the fourth Monday of every month, from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.

Homework Help Center - STARS

The STARS Homework Help Center is a comfortable place for students of all ages to work on schoolwork. STARS also provides homework helpers to help students with their questions. Check out the STARS web page for information about open days and hours.

The Rice Street Branch Library is located at 1011 Rice Street, at the intersection of Rice and Hatch, about 1 mile north of the State Capitol.

Driving Directions

From the east, take I-94 to the 12th Street exit. Take the 12th Street exit and turn right onto Jackson Street. Follow Jackson Street to University Avenue and turn left onto University. Follow University Avenue 5 blocks to Rice Street. Turn right on Rice Street and proceed about 5 blocks to Hatch Street. The library is on the west (left) side of the street.

From the west, take I-94 to the Marion Street exit. Turn left on Marion Street and proceed to University Avenue. Turn right onto University. Follow University to Rice Street. Turn left onto Rice Street. Proceed about 1 mile on Rice Street to Hatch Street. The library is on the west (left) side of the street.
