Baseball as America

Press Release: PDF | Word

SAINT PAUL - Central Library in downtown Saint Paul, in conjunction with the Minnesota Historical Society, will be presenting a program on the Baseball Hall of Fame exhibit, "Baseball as America" on Sunday, January 7, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.

This traveling exhibit, currently on view at the Minnesota History Center, features over 500 artifacts on loan from the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
MHS staff will present a slide show of featured items, and discuss their importance to the exhibit. Baseball artifacts from the collection of MHS will also be available for a "hands on" experience.

SPPL staff will show a DVD of the artifact background and selection process (originally aired on the YES Network), offer examples of baseball resources and historical items from the library's own collection, and provide flyers with further information regarding the exhibit.

Popcorn and Crackerjack will be provided. For more information call 651-266-7000.
