May 4, 2008 Saint Paul Public Library offers new service; Book Club in a BagThe Saint Paul Public Library's new Book Club in a Bag service will be available for individuals, reading groups and families starting Monday, May 5 at all library agencies. The new service was created to help book club members select the right book to read each month, and to inspire individuals or groups to start their own book club. Families can also use the new service to share their own reading experiences with lively discussion of a thought-provoking book. The Book Club in a Bag offers 25 titles to choose from, 10 copies of a title in each bag and discussion questions to help get the conversation going. Library patrons can keep the bag for six weeks at a time. The 25 titles were selected based on the popularity of books that book clubs are reading, books written by Minnesota authors and authors scheduled to speak at the library. Saint Paul residents can visit any Saint Paul Public Library branch, go online at www.sppl.org, or call 651-266-7000 to reserve a Book Club in a Bag.
