Get Paid to Write, Direct, and Perform a Play!

May Lee-Yang, a playwright and performance artist, will work with youth to explore stories and then create and produce an original play in a multi-session series of workshops, culminating in two public performances.

This opportunity is open to youth ages 13 through 19 to learn about theater, meet new people, and gain valuable experience. It requires a commitment of two hours per week (Wednesday evenings, 6-8 p.m.) from July 7 through October 10, and participants meet at the Arlington Hills Community Center. Youth accepted to the workshop that regularly attend meetings, contribute to the development of the play, and participate in final performances will receive a $100 stipend upon completion.

Interested? Yes? Good! Fill out this application form to apply. Applications due June 30.
