SAINT PAUL, MN (March 7, 2011) - Saint Paul Public Library, St. Paul's original re-use center, is hosting four free "Greener Living" events in April.
Reducing Toxics in the Home: At 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 9 at Hayden Heights Library, 1456 White Bear Avenue, St. Paul, Kris Hageman, City of Saint Paul Environmental Coordinator, demonstrates how to minimize children's exposure to chemicals in the home and will identify hazards around the home, garage and lawn areas. Hageman will also discuss less toxic alternatives, and participants will prepare and take home a bottle of non-toxic all purpose cleaner.
Greening How You Get Around: Saint Paul Smart Trips presents inspiration and practical strategies for introducing more biking, walking and busing into your daily trips at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 at Hamline Midway Library, 1558 W. Minnehaha Ave., St. Paul, 651-642-0293.
