One-To-One Reading Help
The Saint Paul Public Library connects students in 1st through 8th grades with reading tutors throughout the school year. Participants in the free reading programs, Read With Me and Reading To Achieve, meet one-to-one with tutors for one hour per week. The goal is to help build confidence and interest in reading, and form a positive mentoring relationship.
The Read With Me program serves 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders and targets development of reading and writing skills and builds an enjoyment of reading.
The Reading To Achieve program serves 4th through 8th graders, helping them to become active and engaged readers, diving deeper into an understanding of what they are reading.
