Teens, want to read books BEFORE they are available to the public?
We read The Hunger Games before anyone else had even heard of it!
The Teens Know Best (TKB) book club gets exclusive, advance copies of unpublished young adult books from more than 30 publishers. Your feedback is submitted to the publishers to help guide their decisions. We meet once a month and discuss the books over pizza.
Second Tuesday of each month, 6:30-8:00 p.m., year-round.
Room 302 at the Metropolitan State University Library (upstairs from the Dayton's Bluff Library ), 645 E 7th Street.
This program is for teens 12-18 only.
To access the advance book copies, please bring proof of age (school ID, passport, or birth certificate) to your first meeting. You’ll get a special library card to allow you access to this collection of books. (The librarians don’t even get to read these!)
TKB is a collaborative program of Metropolitan State University and Saint Paul Public Library. TKB is of one of 16 teen groups in the country whose opinions shared with publishers to help guide their decisions. Your opinions will also help determine the Young Adult Library Services Association's annual Teens' Top Ten book award nominees.
