Teens, want to read books BEFORE they are available to the public?
We read Twilight before anyone else had even heard of it! The Teens Know Best (TKB) book club gets exclusive, advance copies of unpublished young adult books from more than 30 publishers. Your feedback is submitted to the publishers to help guide their decisions. We meet once a month and discuss the books over pizza.
Second Tuesday of each month, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Room 302 at the Metropolitan State University Library.
This program is for teens only. To access the advance book copies, please bring ID to your first meeting to show that you are 12-18 years old. You’ll get a special library card to allow you access to this collection of books. (The librarians don’t even get to read these!)
TKB is a collaborative program of Metropolitan State University and Dayton’s Bluff library. TKB is of one of 16 teen groups in the country whose opinions shared with publishers to help guide their decisions. Your opinions will also help determine the Young Adult Library Services Association's annual Teens' Top Ten book award nominees.
