The Saint Paul Public Library is hosting a series of free music events for youth.
The Take the Mic series features two workshops on music creation: songwriting and recording/editing. The series highlight is a concert in Rice Park featuring local bands and headlined by jazz musician Alicia Steele.
"The youth that we work with every day expressed interest in music programming, so that's what we're bringing them" said Marika Staloch, Teen Technology Project Manager.
