Read Brave Community Involvement Ideas
Read and respond to Everybody Sees the Ants for a chance to get on board Lady Gaga's Born Brave Bus! Here's what you can do:
Respond to the themes found in Everybody Sees the Ants by A.S. King (examples: bullying, violence, intolerance):
- Create a public service announcement (PSA) video or short film
- Write and record/film your poetry/hip hop inspired by the themes
- Create a photo slideshow
- Create and film a one-act play/webisode
- Design a poster or tee shirt addressing the themes
- Other: be creative!
Possible Prizes
- Get a VIP pass into the Born Brave Bus
- View/hear YOUR work on the Born Brave Bus bus for hundreds of people to see (select works may also be featured on the Born This Way Foundation website)
- Have your work shown to the author at the viewing party
- Win swim passes (if you read the book, you'll see why this is one of the prizes...)
- (Avalon students only) have lunch (on us!) with A.S. King, author of Everybody Sees the Ants, Ask the Passengers, and Please Ignore Vera Dietz
