Also know as the morgue file, this collection at the George Latimer Central Library includes over 150,000 newspaper clippings from the Saint Paul Pioneer Press and Dispatch. The clippings are from the years 1910 to 1945 and include articles about people of local, national and international interest.
This is a valuable resource for local history, genealogical research and as a primary source for students and researchers.
How to Use the Biography Clippings File and Index
The following index of names can be used to identify clippings about specific people. The number behind some names indicates the number of clippings in the file.
Some "clippings" are citations, not the actual article. The citation can be used to find the article on microfilm, also available at the Central Library.
Note: The George Latimer Central Library is closed for renovations. While the library is closed, the biography clippings file will not be accessible.
