Summer Spark runs June through August and is for ages 0-18.
For many years, it's been called Summer Reading Program. We've renamed it Summer Spark because we want to engage kids more deeply, encouraging learning and activity in addition to and beyond reading.
New This Year: Maker Camps! Hands-on, engaging, and inspiring activities for youth ages 8-12.
Saturday, June 13, 11:30-1:00, Merriam Park Library.
Music, chicken petting zoo, treats, and crafts.
Learn for Prizes!
When kids read (alone or with someone else) and/or complete fun activities, they earn book prizes of their choice and are entered into drawings for prizes. Visit your library to find out more and pick up reading and activity logs.
Prizes include family memberships to the Minnesota Science Museum or the Minnesota Children's Museum.
All summer long, you can attend free, fun programs at every Saint Paul Public Library location.

With all the excitement of the Summer Spark, don't forget about storytimes!
Storytimes are about so much more than stories. They can include puppets, songs, and toys, and you will learn engaging ways to help your children learn.
We offer storytimes at all locations and for all ages, including babies, as well as storytimes in a variety of languages. Find out more.
