Want to keep your child reading and learning this summer? The Rondo Community Outreach Library will host afternoon and early evening literacy activities for elementary and middle-grade students. No registration is required.
Books and Crafts in the Children's Room - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:00 to 2:30
Students participate in the craft/activity of the day and read Summer Reads books independently
Family Literacy Night (Elementary-grade students) in the Children's Room - Monday from 4:00 to 5:30
Students work in small groups on reading and writing. We focus on fun themes, such as making comic books, writing songs, exploring the library, creating interactive games, and many more activities.
PBS Kids Evening in the Children's Room - Tuesday from 4:00 to 5:30
Once a week, we screen selections from PBS Kids shows and have our students participate in matching activities
Adolescent Literacy Night (Fourth-grade and above) in the Children's Room - Thursday from 4:00 to 5:30
Students from work in small groups on reading, writing, and comprehension, with a focus on fourth-grade and up. Students will work in small groups and participate in activities and games.
Food & Activities
Lunch Served in the SWAMP Homework Center - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11:00 to 12:30
Any youth under the age of 18 is welcome for a free meal. There will be some activities as well.
Snack Served in the A&B Rooms - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00 to 3:30
