Computer Use Policy

Internet Access Computers

Internet access is controlled by computer time management software. Computers with internet access are available for one hour per day per person (30 minutes per day at the West 7th branch).

Catalog and Reference Database Computers

No registration is required. Use of catalog and reference database computers is limited to one hour when others are waiting.

Catalog and reference database computers may be used for accessing:

• library catalogs
• government documents
• the library's databases and other online resources,
  including Live Homework Help (Tutor.com) and Rosetta Stone

Catalog and reference database computers may not be used for general internet access, games, or chat.

Word Processing-Only Computers

Computers designated as "word processing only" are exclusively reserved for word processing functions. Registration may be required, and time limited to one hour when others are waiting.

Children's Computers

Computers located in children's and youth services areas of the library are reserved for use by children or by adults accompanying children.
