Minnesota public health and safety educational information on a variety of emergency preparedness topics, especially for residents with limited English.
Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA)
Current disaster news, storm watches, and disaster assistance information. The site includes the Are You Ready? publication, featuring facts on disaster survival techniques and how to prepare for both natural and man-made disasters. Other sections of the site focus on information for kids and teachers.

Developed by the Department of Homeland Security in response to terrorist attacks, this site includes information about preparing for potential disasters, both natural and man-made. The site includes information on making an emergency kit, a plan for how your family would respond to an emergency, and how to stay informed about potential threats.

Fact sheets, product information, and other safety information with tips for staying safe and avoiding injuries at home, at play, and on the road, as well as yearly summaries of injuries for Minnesota.

A "one-stop shop" for information about government recalls of consumer products, vehicles, food, medicine, cosmetics, and environmental products.
Safe-a-Rooni
Games and activities teach kids about safety. The site includes parents' checklists for fire safety, swimming safety, and other tips for staying safe at home and at play. From the Minnesota Safety Council and other regional safety councils.
SafeKids
Provides parents with information to protect their children from unintentional injury. This site deals with child safety tips and standards. Information includes product recalls and articles on everything from bike helmets and water safety to household poisons and the dangers of firearms. Sponsored by the Children's National Medical Center and Johnson & Johnson.
