National Institute for Literacy
Authorized by the U.S. Congress, NIFL serves as a national resource for adult education and literacy programs. Provides links to adult education and literacy services.
Minnesota Literacy Organizations
Minnesota Humanities Commission Bilingual Initiatives
Provides leadership, resources and programs that help recent refugee and immigrant groups develop literacy skills. Initiatives include the Hmong Translation Initiative, the Somali Bilingual Initiative and Initiatives for Spanish-Speakers.
Minnesota LINCS
Part of LINCS, a national literacy network founded and funded by the National Institute for Literacy and the State Literacy Resource Centers. Makes information available to literacy and other educators throughout Minnesota.
Minnesota Literacy Council
A nonprofit organization with the mission of improving literacy throughout Minnesota. Has a link to the Adult Literacy Hotline, a database of more than 425 local literacy programs around Minnesota, as well as information on volunteer opportunities in literacy.
Saint Paul Literacy Organizations
Ronald M. Hubbs Center for Lifelong Learning
Provides information on adult literacy classes, GED testing, volunteer opportunities and English as a Second Language classes.
Saint Paul Community Literacy Consortium
A consortium of 14 community-based nonprofits, St. Paul Public Schools Adult Learning, the St. Paul Public Library and the Saint Paul Foundation. Includes information about their programs and projects.

Includes GED test descriptions, GED eligibility and a list of Minnesota testing centers.

Adult Literacy Hotline
Service of the Minnesota Literacy Council. Referrals to basic math and reading classes, English language programs, brush-up skills, GED, adult high school diploma services, area learning centers, family literacy programs and citizenship classes.
